[He gets the sense that it sort of is, but he's sore and stiff and he would probably sleep on an army cot if it meant getting somewhere he won't likely die in his sleep.
And if this girl turns out to be Mesuda in disguise, or something, he can just hit her over the head with his sword.]
[ she heads over to her closet now and pulls on a coat. ] Alright. Just stay by the library, okay? I'll be there as soon as I can.
[ she pauses. ] And stay alert.
[ she wonders if she should let someone know that she's leaving. you know, just in case something happens out there. but! she's a big girl, and she knows how to fend for herself. she's been doing it for years, after all.
[The staying put thing, he can do. When she gets to the library, Asami will find one (1) scruffy teenage boy sitting on the library's front stoop, holding a ballpoint pen in one hand and rubbing at some painful ribs with the other. When he sees Asami, he looks up, suddenly more alert, and grips the pen more tightly.]
[ it's pretty easy to spot this kid, since at the moment, the district seems completely deserted. asami walks right up to him before she opens her mouth in response. ]
Hey. [ she notes his actions curiously, but hasn't put two-and-two together yet. ] I'm Asami.
It's not too far. Just two districts away! [ i'm actually not sure how long it would take to walk from odin to freya :P but i promise i will find out someday! ]
So how long have you been out in the streets? The whole night?
[He looks about as they start walking. There's something he's been wondering since he stepped out into the streets, and he finally has someone there to ask about it.]
So did something happen out here? The place looks kind of torn up.

Yeah, sure. If it's not too much trouble.

[He gives her a look as if to say, "I've had worse, don't worry."]
... You're the girl I was talking to?
no subject
[ it's said more jokingly than anything. she smiles, though she still looks weary from her interrupted rest. ]
no subject
[Well, maybe joking that she could be a monster in disguise isn't the best way to go. She is, after all, a mortal. That might not go over well.]
... So you live here?
no subject
[ she motions her head over to where she came from. ] Come on, let's start walking.

There was a pretty big battle just the other day. That's why we should get somewhere safe — fast.
