[ hhhhhiiiiiii asami, look who finally got his face back!? mamako is collecting team avatar tonight, even though he doesn't know they have a team name yet.... ]
Asami, you there?
[ I'M SORRY THIS IS REALLY LATE IT MIGHT WAKE YOU UP but it's important.............. ]
[YEAH, SHE WAS GETTING HER BEAUTY SLEEP. Oh, Mako...!
The bracelet on her dresser lights up, and Asami wakes up as soon as she hears a voice coming from it. Slowly, she sits up in her bed and reaches for the piece of jewelry.
Was that who she thought it was? She's still half-asleep, but she knows there's a good chance that it could be him. After all, Hilda did say that both he and Bolin were here. She hadn't been able to reach him earlier, though, which had concerned her.
Presently, she speaks into the bracelet groggily:]
[ asami, you're like the last person in the world who need beauty sleep ok. ]
Yeah, it's me. Sorry if I woke you up. [ and without the slightest pause, el capitan continues, not giving much of a chance for asami to ask where the hell he's been. ] Can you go find Bolin and meet me downstairs in ten minutes? I found Korra, and need to tell you guys some stuff.
[ bossy, bossy, werent you missing your face like twenty minutes ago dude!??! ]
[uh, wow. IT'S A GOOD THING THEY'RE COOL ABOUT THINGS FROM HER POV, otherwise this would've received a snippy comment back. asami detects the urgency in his voice, though, and knows that he means business.] Sure, I'll go find him now.
[It's pretty early in the morning, and some people would probably be disgusted by the amount of cheer Rise's throwing off at this time of the day, but there you go.]
I think we should have a girl's day out. Don't forget you promised we'd hang out more!
[That and Rise wants to check up on you, now that Mako and Korra are both gone.]
[ Asami picks up right away, and by the looks of it, she's already dressed and all made up! She sounds a little breathless when she answers, though -- she just finished powdering her face by the mirror, and had left her bracelet back on her bed. ]
Hey, Rise! Good morning.
[ She grins. ] Of course I didn't forget. Short notice, but are you free today, maybe?
[Hey Asami, are you ready to be woken up by the sounds of someone being lost and confused coming from your bracelet? Because that is what's happening in 3...2......1!
There's some rustling and scuffling, but mainly a lot of fabric-muffled muttering, and words that could possibly be obscene in Greek. One phrase finally comes across more clearly: ]
[ asami's dream is nothing short of amazing. watching an action-packed, thrilling probending match -- go fire ferrets! boo badgermoles! -- she'd be happy with nothing more at this present moment. the good ol' days, you know... before things went to shit.
sadly, her fantastic dream is about to be cut short by some random kid. she frowns in her sleep, murmuring: ] ... no, that was a cheap shot. Ugh, call 'im out, ref--
[ but that's when she hears something that snaps her out of her dream. startled, she opens her eyes and sits up immediately. is someone in her room? where's her glove???
...no. she soon realizes that the male voice is actually coming from the bracelet on her nightstand, and from the looks of it, he doesn't seem to realize he's called her.
this isn't going to spare him from a nice scolding, though. ]
Hey, what do you think you're doing? It's four in the morning.
[Di Immortales! Percy's reaching for his sword before he even registers that that voice - that voice directed at him - came from... this bracelet??? What in Hades...]
... Hello?
[He taps the thing a couple of times, holds it up to his ear just to confirm that yes, there is indeed someone on the other end of this... magic phone bracelet? That gives him pause - he's never been allowed to use a cell phone, since that's a great way to get your position tracked by a monster. And alone in a strange city, it's not sounding like a really good idea.
[ percy, you've just received an agitated eye roll from districts away. she's been stressed as hell over the recent events, and boy, you're not helping one bit. ]
Are you the guy who just called me in the middle of the night? Then yes, I'm talking to you.
Getting completely lost in this stupid city, apparently.
[He kind of snaps a bit, because he's stuck in some world that's not his own, he's just had his ass kicked by a sea monster, and the only person he's managed to contact is just getting pissy at him. Though... that kind of is his fault. He lowers his voice.]
I didn't mean to call you, okay? I don't even know how to work this thing.
[He's both surprised and comforted by her seeming understanding of the situation. That must mean she's another one like him. Relatively speaking, of course. Now that he's a little less defensive, it's clear how exhausted he sounds.]
[ she might just feel a little bad for yelling at him now. these arrivals usually come in much larger groups, though, so she's a little confused. she at least hasn't heard of any new freya residents recently...
oh, well. anything goes in this damn city, but she might bring this up to him later. ]
Yeah. Or anywhere I could get off the street for the night, I guess.
[There's a pause and some more footsteps as he tries to figure out how to relay his location - which, incidentally, is directly across the city from where he needs to be.]
...You're quite a few districts away from Heimdall. [ she sighs. ] You've got a bit of a walk.
[ she gets off her bed and heads towards her window to look outside. it's pitch dark outside, and given the more recent events, probably still dangerous. ] Look, it might be easier for me to just find you and walk you there. Is that okay with you?
[He gets the sense that it sort of is, but he's sore and stiff and he would probably sleep on an army cot if it meant getting somewhere he won't likely die in his sleep.
And if this girl turns out to be Mesuda in disguise, or something, he can just hit her over the head with his sword.]
[ she heads over to her closet now and pulls on a coat. ] Alright. Just stay by the library, okay? I'll be there as soon as I can.
[ she pauses. ] And stay alert.
[ she wonders if she should let someone know that she's leaving. you know, just in case something happens out there. but! she's a big girl, and she knows how to fend for herself. she's been doing it for years, after all.
[The staying put thing, he can do. When she gets to the library, Asami will find one (1) scruffy teenage boy sitting on the library's front stoop, holding a ballpoint pen in one hand and rubbing at some painful ribs with the other. When he sees Asami, he looks up, suddenly more alert, and grips the pen more tightly.]
[ it's pretty easy to spot this kid, since at the moment, the district seems completely deserted. asami walks right up to him before she opens her mouth in response. ]
Hey. [ she notes his actions curiously, but hasn't put two-and-two together yet. ] I'm Asami.
It's not too far. Just two districts away! [ i'm actually not sure how long it would take to walk from odin to freya :P but i promise i will find out someday! ]
So how long have you been out in the streets? The whole night?
[He looks about as they start walking. There's something he's been wondering since he stepped out into the streets, and he finally has someone there to ask about it.]
So did something happen out here? The place looks kind of torn up.

How about window-shopping in Baldr? We could also walk around Gefion Park while we're there.

[By the enthusiasm, the answer is obviously: yes.]

[ rise's enthusiasm is quite infectious! ] D'you think you'll be ready in two hours or so? I can meet you outside the Welcome Hall!

Two hours? No problem.

Sounding pretty distrustful about this...]
Are you talking to me?

Are you the guy who just called me in the middle of the night? Then yes, I'm talking to you.
What are you even doing awake at this time?
with the right journal this time oops
[He kind of snaps a bit, because he's stuck in some world that's not his own, he's just had his ass kicked by a sea monster, and the only person he's managed to contact is just getting pissy at him. Though... that kind of is his fault. He lowers his voice.]
I didn't mean to call you, okay? I don't even know how to work this thing.
loser...
...Did you just get here? To the city, I mean.
baby stop
[He's both surprised and comforted by her seeming understanding of the situation. That must mean she's another one like him. Relatively speaking, of course. Now that he's a little less defensive, it's clear how exhausted he sounds.]
Any chance you could give me some directions?
never
oh, well. anything goes in this damn city, but she might bring this up to him later. ]
Uh, sure. To your district's Welcome Hall?
wweh
[There's a pause and some more footsteps as he tries to figure out how to relay his location - which, incidentally, is directly across the city from where he needs to be.]
I'm next to... some kind of library, I think.
forevver a loser
[ she's only been there once or twice, whoops. give her a few moments to switch on a light and search for a map in her room. ]
Okay, I found your Welcome Hall. The maid from earlier said you'd live in Odin, right?
no subject
[He sounds a little sheepish about this. So sue him, he's shit at reading directions. Or reading anything really.]
How far from there am I?

... You're the girl I was talking to?
no subject
[ it's said more jokingly than anything. she smiles, though she still looks weary from her interrupted rest. ]
no subject
[Well, maybe joking that she could be a monster in disguise isn't the best way to go. She is, after all, a mortal. That might not go over well.]
... So you live here?
no subject
[ she motions her head over to where she came from. ] Come on, let's start walking.

There was a pretty big battle just the other day. That's why we should get somewhere safe — fast.
